Lilly Dee Dolly on Glitter & Grunge

Almost forgot about posting the 'Glitter & Grunge' http://www.glitterandgrunge.com/ item I have for sale in Nov. Something alittle different for you from me..didn't get my Turkey pieces ready in time!! So... For many years I have collected and repaired dolls, mainly the 'Basket Case' compositions, as cheap to buy.. but such a dramatic before and after..so fun to do!!

This poor dolly was a wreck from her mouse eaten toes to her crumbled head..her body was a gross mess of old straw in cheese cloth! I sculpted her a new head and even added a bow..new shoes and fingers. A soft beige patina is washed over her..Made her a vintage fabric patchwork body. Gave her a bunny head rattle and a handful of dried lavender in her stuffing! Even has a cupcake on her back..Named her for 2 people dear to me..When I restore Dolls , I don't want them to look New, they are old and want alittle quirkyness to them..I left undressed but could add a crepe paper skirt and collar if wanted..
