Notice the big flat screen.. well, that's 'our early Christmas present' my husband and I haven't exchanged presents in years.. we just buy something together for the house and this year it's a blu-ray Samsung tv with home theater sound..[we watch alot of movies and netflix instant watch].. Bought the 'Planet Earth' series and 'Blue Planet' series.. just wonderful truly awe inspiring stuff..
Gold leafing..
Brown painted eyes...
Toes with blood..
Ready for eyes..tone down rosy cheeks!
Base coat of fleshtone..
Primed in gesso.. 3 coats were done..
Several layers of chipped paint.. so lots of nit picking and sanding..
He was a eerie shade of lavender fleshtone..
Started late but Christmas is going up finally.. reds,coppers,gold,browns, and black on kitchen tree.
Started a arrangement over the clock... velvet pointsettias will go in next..l ike the icicles on everything!
A pair of 'Snowboys' that 'Bethany Lowe Co. did of my design..they look great!
At Thanksgiving .. My grandson's wool wolf slippers...
A Key Lime Pie,bought real key limes at Walmart..so my first time making..turned out yummy!

Since we were not home for Thanksgiving I didn't do a whole lot of decorating...but had some eye candy for Nov.

I have the same statue to be renewed for my parish. How did you remove the cracked paint? Have to scratch it cm by cm? Or there is a product adapted to go faster?
